Project Manager for TEAM CONSULT

Mr. Hankeln studied at European Business School (ebs) in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, where he graduated in 2001 as Diplom-Kaufmann (equivalent MBA). After five years of management consulting, he worked as a Project Manager for Lexington Consulting in Berlin in the field of energy supply. Taking the chance of an intermediate changeover, Mr. Hankeln made a three-year industrial experience at Electrabel Deutschland AG (SUEZ Group). As member of the Business Development team, he was responsible for extending the activities of energy supply on the German market.

Mr. Hankeln joined TEAM CONSULT in 2010, mainly focusing on the field of power generation with specific regards on gas to power. Furthermore, Mr. Hankeln is focused on strategy development for power and gas supply considering relevant market drivers and trends.

During his business career he was engaged (amongst others) on the following assignments:

Price revision of a gas supply contract for a gas fired power plant.
Development of controlling concept for the construction of new power plants.
Strategy review for a German Big-4 energy supplier under consideration of market drivers and trends.
Strategic re-positioning and optimization of organization and processes for a municipal utility.
Strategy implementation for a regionally leading utility by implementation of a balanced scorecard.
Development and implementation of a growth strategy for the German market of an international energy supplier.
Development of a distributor's strategy in preparation on incentive regulation for power and gas grids.
Development for cooperation concept between an energy supplier and municipal utilities with regards to economic and political aspects.
Management of M&A processes for acquisition of shares in municipal utilities.
Improvement of risk management and reporting for an international leading waste disposal company.
Development of energy policy statements for a German energy supplier for improved communication with several associations of the industry.
